Is It Just Me?
In a word ‘no’! We’re really glad that you’re here and want you to know that you’re not alone. We understand that many people will feel isolated in their struggles. That’s one of the many reasons Living Out exists. Living Out has been launched and led by people who experience same-sex attraction themselves and who represent many more Christians in the same position worldwide. There are many people who are wrestling with issues of sexuality and faith, and we hope that you will find this website a helpful and encouraging place as you explore.
Maybe you aren’t same-sex attracted yourself but are supporting a friend or relative. If so, thank you for caring, and we hope that you find this site informative and useful.
It may be that you’re not a Christian and you want to find out a bit more of what Christians think about sexuality and identity. We’re really glad you’re here and hope that not only will you learn more on what Christians believe about sexuality, but that you will be drawn into the heart of Jesus who loves you and wants you to know him.
You might be a church leader looking to help your congregation grapple with these topics, and work out how to live in the light of the messiness that is part of all our lives. We hope that our dedicated church leader section will be of particular help in answering your questions and pointing you to valuable resources.
Whatever reason you’re here, we’re glad you came. As you explore, we hope that you’re encouraged by the experiences of others, and that you discover God’s wonderful and life-giving love for you.
[Jesus said] ‘The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’
Why not watch some of our storytellers talking about their experiences of same-sex attraction?
